The Ark operated in a specific location. It was in one place, and only there. Anyone not in that space received nothing directly.

The Ark was restricted. Only the priests interacted with it, under strict conditions, and the innermost chamber admitted a single man, one day a year. The whole of humanity remained outside.

The Ark was limited in time. There were hours, rites, calendars. There was a before and an after.

The Force has no such limitations..

It has no address, because it cannot be contained within an address. Its manifestation is on a monumental scale — something that can only be described by comparison with the size of the universe itself. There is no limit to its quantity: no one receives less because another has also received it. It is not exhausted, nor divided, nor consumed. And it does not belong to a caste, a people, a priesthood or a place.

And there is one final difference, perhaps the most decisive of all: the Force is not directed solely at human beings.

It reaches inert matter. It reaches plants. It reaches animals. It reaches human beings. In other words: it reaches everything that exists on this planet.
